Malvern’s Parish Priest

Father Tony’s magnetic presence coupled with his straightforward approach and exuberance have packed pews and revived the local community since his inception in 2004. In 2006, Father Tony thanked the parish for its loyal dedication when it celebrated its 70th Anniversary:

When one celebrates an important anniversary it is opportune to reflect on the past, with its joys and sorrows. Over the past seventy years of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament I give thanks for Father Pierce the founder of our Parish, the Paulist and the Oblate priests who preceded me and built on the solid foundation already established. I give thanks for sodalities in our Parish: Ministers of Holy Communion who assist at Mass, taking communion to the sick at home and in hospital, Proclaimers of the Word and Commentators, Sacristans, Collectors, Greeters, Ushers, Altar Servers and those who train them, those responsible for arranging flowers, manning the Repository, the Choir, the Youth, Catholic Women’s League, St. Vincent De Paul Society, our Parish Secretary, Cleaners and Volunteers who continue to support the Church in its many ministries. I give thanks for Father Brian and Reverend Drummond Lessing for their support in our ministry in the parish.

My past two and a half years at Malvern have been very fruitful and we have grown from strength to strength. My vision is to see each and every parishioner involved in one or other ministry of the Church. I am grateful of the laity who continually gives freely of their time and services for the Church and our Lord Jesus Christ.

God Bless you all as we continue to grow in the decades ahead in the service of our Lord.
